Scott Heatherly was released from jail today on a surety bond. Heatherly was caught on an Arnold Mo. Walgreens surveillance camera attacking a woman. Before attacking her, he followed her closely on I-55 honking his horn at her so much to the point she pulled into the parking lot and there is where he got out his vehicle, yelled obscenities while kicking her car, then ran and tackled her. He then drove off almost running her over, after bystanders ran to her rescue. Heatherly was charged with second degree property damage and assault after he turned himself in.
His attorney attempted to get the judge to lower the $50,000 bond but he refused. Heatherly was put on 24 hour house arrest and not allowed to drive until he finds a job but even then he has to report his every move.
When Heatherly was leaving the court building, he stopped and said to a News 4 camera, "You guys already made me look guilty on TV, I don't think there's anything to say that will make it look better."
